Founded by Andrew Cowderoy
N57 is Andrew Cowderoy’s club. He built it for the people he has worked alongside all his life: the owners, managers, brokers, insurers, lawyers, port people and seafarers who keep world trade moving.
Andrew comes from a family with more than 130 years in shipping, on the owning and managing side. He started out as an outdoor instructor, then went to sea as a deck officer cadet with Bibby Ship Management. He is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights.
In 2017 he founded ZS Wellness to look after the health of crews at sea; it was named Best Start-up at the Smart Ship Awards that year. He hosts the N57 podcast and lives near Nairn, on the 57th parallel.
